NeSA-W (Nebraska State Assessment-Writing)

Students in grades 4, 8 and 11 will be taking part in the Nebraska State Assessment for Writing during the first two weeks of February. Students in Grade 4 will write a rough draft on February 1 and compose their final draft on February 2, writing in the narrative mode. Grade 8 students will compose and finalize their essays on February 7 and February 8, writing in the descriptive mode.
Grade 11 students will compose and finalize their essays on February 2, writing in the persuasive mode.
Grade 4 testing will all be hand-written, whereas grades 8 and 11 will compose and submit via the computer.
It is very important that students be in attendance on these testing dates, they have a good night's sleep prior to testing and have a healthy breakfast the morning of testing.
